AC001:0 – Elevated Body Temperature Screening (EN)

Thermography is being used in different fields nowadays, including the medical industry. The method is non-contact and non-invasive since it detects naturally emitted heat at the skin surface of the face.

Empirical data has demonstrated the effectiveness of this technology that helped significantly in screening elevated body temperatures during the major epidemics since 2002; SARS, H1N1, Ebola, and today, CoVid19.

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of this course, you will:

• Understand the importance of using thermal cameras in elevated body temperature screening
• Know the standards in using thermal cameras for elevated body temperature screening according to the standards (IEC-80601-2-59:2017)
• Be aware of the minimum required thermal camera specifications for elevated body temperature screening based on the standards (IEC-80601-2-59:2017)
